This listing if for TWO (2) Piece of TOMY Aurora AFX HO SLOT CAR 15" COMPUTER CONTROL CENTER Straight Track. GREAT PRICE on a Very Fancy Transformer, Controller Terminal Section! Very Rare to find offered separately as they were only released in factory race sets. It has SEVERAL FEATURES: 1) Counts up to Nine Laps 2) Allows for Ghost Racing where you set one lanes speed to a constant & see how you compare! 3) It has a button to drop a flag to start the race (FLAG & POLE NOT Included... One can be easily mocked up) USE MORE THAN ONE TO GIVE EACH LANE DEDICATED POWER! Dedicated power is crucial to predictable throttle control. INTO EACH TERMINAL PLUG A TRANSFORMER & ONLY ONE CONTROLLER! VOILA; DEDICATE LANE POWER, SO NO ONE CAN NERF YOU IN THE CORNERS WITH A SPEED BOOST! It will fit any TOMY AFX or Autoworld style tracks made from 1986 through present day. These are old school TOMY Factory issued, originally intended for their race track sets. Clean UNUSED BULK with NO PACKAGING. All could use a shining with a brown Scotch-brite sort of pad to achieve maximum electrical conductivity. TOMY AFX track can be connected to older 1970's Aurora AFX Quick-Lok track with the use of track adapters, which are widely available. Also available separately are adapters to Life-Like or Mattel TYCO.
Footnote: TOMY AFX changed
their system in 2016 due to governmental regulations. In order to comply
with new restrictions, TOMY had to create an enclosed-motor design. The
issue then became the controller, which needed to be modified with a
120 Ohm controller versus the traditional 45-60 Ohm typically used from
1972 to date.
Bottom line is; Gray controllers Will work with most HO slot cars, on most systems, from 1962 through 2015.
They will Not operate as a direct substitute for the Black 120 Ohm
controller, when using strictly Mega G+ style, enclosed-motor vehicles
made from 2016 on.
