Never Before Seen: This listing is for TWO (2) Vintage 1999 TYCO Toys Inc., 440-X3, DELRIN PLASTIC 25 TOOTH CROWN GEARS. The story is that TYCO Toys was sold to Mattel Co. right around 1999. At that time, TYCO had nearly developed a next generation chassis with a (blue) armature & Rare Earth Magnets. The issue that arose in real life use was that, the friction & torque of the chassis combined to literally melt the plastic alongside the rails ON SMALL 8' long Starter Sets! NONE of the Packaged 440-X3 HPX-3 Vehicle or sets have the Delrin blue crowns. These crown gears were probably being developed to help with the new level of torque the 440-X3 was supposed to develop. THESE CROWN GEARS ARE FACTORY ISSUE BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN DRILLED. DRILL TO YOUR EXACT SPECIFICATION.
